The “Saalfelder Gruppe” was made up of three artists who had made clay and glaze their preferred medium, finding in those materials a seemingly inexhaustible supply of inspiration.

The project is comprised of a digital tour that leads to selected sculptures and building-related art from Alexanderplatz, via Leipziger Straße to the Platz des Volksaufstandes of 1953, which was developed in collaboration with the Berlin History App, as well as an exhibition at KVOST. In it, the structural elements of the surroundings were brought into the exhibition space.

The exhibition features works by Oksana Veniaminova, Tatsiana Tkachova, Vasilisa Palianina, Kate Smuraga along with a curated selection from the VEHA archive of Belarusian amateur photography - founded by Lesia Pcholka.

As a kick-off to EEP Berlin and KVOST’s upcoming exhibition dedicated to Belarussian contemporary photography, the two organisations present a showcase of artist Masha Svyatogor (BEL, *1989).
